Day 7 & 8 Yokohama & Tokyo

Osaka was on our cards instead but had to give it a miss cos our schedule was really tight. We decided not to go for the sake of going as the fatigue was just not worth so we decided on a simpler 2 day trip in Yokohama & Tokyo ! And well, since it wasn't a first time there and there really is nothing much too take in the capital city, ( and err.. cos i was busier shopping u see. wahaha) just stuck the better ones in this post .

On the entrance of the Imperial Gardens, Tokyo. Bright & sunny day = squinting eyes (hahaha)

Former Guardhouse of Imperial Gardens

Hubby between 2 huge palace walls
Spectacular view from Yokohama of Minato Mirai 21 Ferris Wheel

On our way to the Chinatown, we saw the all familiar Lion Dance, there was some event going on and they were parading the streets like Chinggay in Orchard Road back home.

Here's something interesting, Panda and Pig Bao !

Dear hubby queueing for his Big Bao

And u know i am not kidding u ! Look at the bao compared to my fist !

Well.. at first...felt ripped of at SGD4 bucks , but looking at its size, ok lah hor ?

After touring Yokohama at Minato Mirai and Chinatown, its time to head on to the capital city ! First stop was the Yebisu Beer Museum ! We love this place, atmosphere was great and was looking forward to great beer ! Sapporo Beer Station, hadn't it been a tad too windy n chilly, i loved to enjoy a cold beer in front of the Beer station. Flying hair again !

We toured the Beer Museum and at the end of it, i queued to buy some beers ! Wootz...*wicked grin*

There u go, i bought the tasting set which consisted of ermm.. something like more n less malt n the hops and a pack of beer snack, oh well.. thats not impt, what was impt is i loved the bottom right one ! Yummilious beer !

Give the man a Sapporo !

Not forgetting the lady too !

Dear Sapporo Beer " Do contact us if u need potential models for u ad!" wahahaha

Look at the gal in the background hugging the BIG beer can, apparently she pushed it too hard and was about to drop to the ground so she was hanging on to it like dear life ! keke, What a natural pic !

Yebisu The Hop

Sapporo Draft One

Me horsing around when hubby snapped a pic on the travellator back to station.. heee

Brand new sneakers bought just before the shopped closed for the day cos me being dumb-ass and never learning wore a pair of pointed pumps, ended up my feet was so tired, i was whining the night thru ! Lucky spotted these dirt cheap sneakers, and i mean DIRT cheap ! Neh, i not gonna say how cheap, ;p we wanted to get the same but there was no size, just too bad... but i totally heart such sneakers, love them !

On the way to the zoo , a small doggy came running around and it was so cute i had to play with it for a while and yes it was wearing a stipe tee ! haha

Such was a coincidence that this very day had free entry to the Ueno zoo so here we are ! But well, since it was free the crowds was piling on real fast as each minute passed.

Caught a great shot when tigger decide to look my way.

Don't play play with tigger or this is what is left of you !

Enjoying an ice-cream on a sunny day !

Bear bear snoozing on a lazy hot day

As the crowds piled in fast and furious, panda was the last stop until we realised the long Q to see my dear relative(me oso panda eye ! haha) so no more panda and this will do lah ! haha

Off we went from the zoo to Ueno park, bustling with activities since morning with pasar malam like stalls hawking food and games. Hubby queue-ing for tako.

Tako all sliced up with sauce and mayo

Other than the pasar malam stalls, tucked away in another corner of the park were these fleamarket stall selling quirky trinkets.

One of my fave spots in Tokyo, the famous Ameyoko Street in Ueno.

Great shoe buys at even greater prices !

After a squeezy day at Ueno, we headed to Sugamo.

After a super long and tiring day, we ta bao bento boxes and enjoyed our katsu don and tempura at the comfort of our home with a cold beer. Wicked.

Our greatest haul for this trip, Ma Ling luncheon meat, Ligo sardines, bee hoon and Szechuan vege !
