Day 5 - Hakone Owadakuni, Le Petit Prince Restaurant & Museum, TokyoBay Oasis

Breakfast was norm with bacon and eggs as i skipped the Japanese breakfast i didn't really down rice in the morning, i am more of a bread person.. hehe.. ;) Well, the eggs were soft and fluffy, along with the fat bacon strips, laden with loads of chlolesterol. One word decribes it all... sinful... keke but yummie !

After the chlolesterol laden breakfast, we decide to take a short walk in the garden, thus we changed into these clogs and started "cloging" away.. click clog click clog .... Check out time was at 1000h but we decided to check out early and head to Owadakuni earlier as the car cannot be parked at the train station. Therefore, we dumped the car in the hotel parking which was free and headed to Gora station of the Tozan Railway by foot. Bought the tix and we hopped on to the platform and wait expectantly for the train to arrive. The uniqueness of the this railway is that its built specially for trains that are going up and down hills.

Here it comes, hops on one and off we go !

It was scary enough being hung halfway in the air in the ropeway, looking down into the valley and mountains, but the most absolutely horrifying part came when we were at the peak and were engulfed by the clouds ! Everyone was like "Woahhhhhh" We can't see a thing ! Fear crept in and i bet everyone's mind was thinking " this cable car better don't drop now, boy!" hehe and the kiddo started wailing away.. well i don't blame him la, keke

Exclaiming scariness until we were out of the clouds. Ok lah, me was the scardy cat, but still the other japs were also Woah-ing away mah... keke

and along with this fantastic view came the smell of rotten eggs ! The sulphur smell produced smelt exactly like rotten eggs and i am not kidding you ! The one thing not to be missed when in Hakone are the black eggs simply because its suppose to prolong your lifespan 7 years longer with an egg !

How to look good in pics amidst such strong winds ?!?! Wear a cap ! My hubby looked so nonchalant with his cap on while i look like a crazy gal with hair all over ! Arghhhhh...

Stomachs were growling by mid-noon and we headed downhill to our last stop in out itineary before heading back home.

Dessert looks a little lonely with its tiny servings but it was yummilious all right so it makes up for all the quantity !

Le Petit Prince cuppa tea, even the ordinary tea smells more fragrant in simply gorgeous teacups, even the teaspoon is engraved.

After a delectable meal at the Le Petit Restaurant and an enriching time at the Le Petit Museum, it was time to head home... sob sob... so i hopped on to the car (with the kiddo staring at me making sure i didn't touch his precious toy !) Ngeow kid... hahaha

On our way back, our colleague took an amazing route through an undersea tunnel of 10km and we stopped by for a breather. Look ! We travelled under the sea ! It stretches 10km long and we came to this place called Tokyo Bay Oasis . We were in the middle of the sea ! What an amazing piece of architecture. God knows how they built it ! Anyone care to enlighten moi ?
